I have used Coastal Fast Lube for over seven years, the family owned company does an excellent job with both of our cars, they are very good at oil changes and state inspections and light engine repairs. I recommend them highly!
My BMW M2 Competition had a right rear tire that had started to lose air pressure over a day or two. I called my normal tire and auto repair shop, but they only had one technician working due to staff illness, and said it would be a week or two before they could get me in. I asked if they would recommend someone else, and they said that Coastal Fast Lube and Tire Repair without hesitation. As it says on the web, this is a first come first served establishment. I got there at about 8:30 AM on a Monday morning, and there was a line of vehicles waiting. Clearly people on the Outer Banks trust these guys with the service of their vehicles. I was told it was going to be a few hours wait, so I sat in my car and did the NY Times crossword, moving my car forward as work was completed on cars in front of me. The guy moving the other cars was always moving quick and thanking me for moving my car along with the progression. After a couple of hours, they got my car into the service bay, and 30-40 minutes later I was driving away with a perfectly repaired tire (minus the nail). Everyone was professional, courteous, kind, and efficient. The staff worked hard, and I never saw anyone slacking or being careless. The cost of the repair was reasonable and much appreciated, and I was able to nearly complete the NY Times crossword. GREAT EXPERIENCE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
I had a tire blow out during my trip down to vacation; finished the trip on a spare and called Coastal Fast Lube on Monday. They ordered me a replacement tire and put it on Wednesday morning. I cannot describe how wonderful this shop is! Very professional, extremely courteous, everything you want as a stranger in a strange land on vacation! Highly recommend!!!
